Freight Agents/Independent Contractors

Sales Representative

Job Description:

In this position, you will participate in efforts to grow the brokerage business as an independent contractor and increase the market presence of Konektacom, Inc. a premier logistics provider. The main focus of this position is to build a solid client base of shippers and carriers; you will be in contact with client’s daily, building relationships, solving problems, and assessing clients’ needs to make sure they are met along with the company’s goals. With one of the most aggressive commissions paid in the industry.

 

Duties: Job Responsibilities 

The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: 

-Independent contractor working without supervision
-Solicit new shipper business 
-Solicit new carrier business 
-Conduct freight bidding and quoting 
-Manage customer relationships 
-Acts as liaison between the shipper/receiver and carrier 
-Coordinates with administration to ensure that accounts are current 
-Prepare and coordinate required reporting documentation 
-Proactively manage exceptions and provide solutions 
-Communicate information timely and accurately 

 

Qualifications: Job Requirements 

The required qualifications for this position include but are not limited to:

 

-Have a proven sales background, documented success and not afraid of monthly numbers 
-Experience with sales specifics to the transportation industry.
-Candidates must be aggressive, organized and effective under pressure 
-Competitive personality 
-Growth and sales oriented 
-Strong Customer Service skills 
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
-Ability to be successful in a fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
